Researchers at the University of Florida's Department of Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences are woking with the United States Geological Survey, Florida Marine Research Institute and Florida Sea Grant to track the spread of the green mussel in Florida.  Florida's citizens form the frontline in these efforts.  If you have seen the green mussel, please report it by either sending an email to greenmussels@ufl.edu or by using the form below.  If you prefer to send an email, please include the following information if possible:

1.  Date and time of observation.
2.  Location as specifically as possible (this could include: city, bridge name, GPS coordinates, nearest road, park, marina or store, etc...).
3.  Type of structure to which the mussels were attached.
4.  Depth of the mussels below the surface of the water.
5.  Optional:  Your name and email address and/or telephone number.
